Dear Selection Committee,      I am writing this letter to strongly recommend Mr. Kenny for your program. I know Mr. Kenny because he worked in my lab for one sum.

    Dear Selection Committee,

I am writing this letter to strongly recommend Mr. Kenny for your program. I know Mr. Kenny because he worked in my lab for one summer. Mr. Kenny came to me a year ago to discuss the possibility of spending a summer working in my lab. I met with him and outlined a project. I gave him some background reading at our first meeting. By the time of our second meeting he had read what I had given him and prepared a two-page project description. This level of effort is typical of a good medical student who joins my lab, so I agreed to take him on for a summer.

During his time in my lab, Mr. Kenny demonstrated a good work ethic and interpersonal skills. We outlined a scope of work to be completed, and he successfully completed that work in the time required. He put in extra hours as necessary in order to meet specific deadlines that I set. I teamed him up with another student to work on the project. He seemed to work well with the other student, and I found him very personable. Mr. Kenny put in sufficient work to be a co-author on a manuscript. Overall, I would strongly recommend Mr. Kenny for a position in your program.

    Sincerely,

    Richard Hughes, Ph.D.

    Letter of Recommendation for Kenny

Kenny is an extraordinary student at Appalachian State University and a fine young man of exemplary character. As an adjunct professor at ASU, I first met him three years ago when he distinguished himself as the top student among two large chasses in modern British literature. Beyond the classroom, I got to know Kenny as a focused individual, hardworking and quietly self-driven not only to succeed but to excel. I am pleased to recommend him as a candidate for your program.

Kenny brings to the experience of research/analysis and reading of literature a deeply mature understanding of his own experiences and their meaning. He has carried responsibilities beyond what might be expected of a person his age. And rather than resent the burdens, he has embraced them, learned from them, and on some level even celebrated them. He is a young man of strong character and intellect.

Kenny is an effective and sophisticated communicator, both orally and in writing. In my class, he showed an outstanding capacity to interpret literature by bringing to bear on the text information about the author, the times and cultural contexts, and Kenny’s own interests, values, and experiences-all leading to responses that placed Justin among a small group of the most insightful and capable students in my classes. His combination of curiosity, intelligence, and drive makes him a formidable scholar; his down-to-earth attitude puts him at ease in any situation.

After the semester during which I formally taught Kenny, he very capably served in an informal, voluntary was as my “teaching assistant” when I taught the British literature class again. He never missed a class session, and he not only graded the frequent quizzes I gave, but he also served as an astute sounding board that helped me improve my teaching. Kenny himself is a natural teacher.

In terms of sheer intellect, I would rank Kenny in the top 5% of students whom I have taught over a long career. He will do superlatively well at anything he may set his mind to doing. Although somewhat quiet and unassuming, Kenny commands attention by virtue of the brilliant of his insights and his sincerity. I recommend him most highly.

    TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

I would like to recommend a student of mine for your organization. His name is Kenny, who comes from the Republic of Macedonia. Kenny is currently attending the Huber H. Humphrey Fellowship Program (Fulbright Program) for professional development at Cornell University, to enhance his skills in Applied Economics and International Development. He completed his fellowship Program in the last week of April of this year, and is currently working on his internship at Carana Corporation in Arlington in Virginia. Part of this program includes a mandatory 6 weeks professional affiliation in a U.S. Based company or other organization in his area of interest such as business analysis and consulting. He is working on a very interesting project on assessment of the broader economic impacts of using drip irrigation in sunflower and soybean production in the Republic of Macedonia. Carana has a large project in Macedonia for his matter and this is a perfect match.

Kenny has a broad expertise in business analysis, market analysis and policy creation for the Agricultural and Food Industry in Emerging Economics, based on 8+ years of practical experience in policy and business, combined with strong academic background in economics, strategy, and management. He is an excellent student and a very nice person. I think that your company would be a perfect place for him to work at, and you would find him to be a valuable asset.

I hope that you will find his resume appealing and give him an opportunity for an interview and potential placement. I would be happy to discuss his background more if you want to give me a call. I highly recommend him.

    Sincerely,

    To Whom It May Concern

It is my great pleasure to write this recommendation letter for Mr. Kenny. Kenny took one graduate class (management 222-Management of International Operations) from me in the fall of 2014 and completed with an A. This is a seminar course with rigorous requirements of class discussion and various written reports. Kenny excelled in every one of them and ranked first in this class of 38 MBA students. His analysis was very thorough and his bibliographical research was well balanced and well developed. I also valued his contribution in the classroom discussion very much. Kenny often provided unique insights into specific issues.

Before I even had a chance to look at Kenny’s highly impressive resume, I knew he must be a very good team player. His group presented an extensive case study largely due to his work. He knows how to spearhead and coordinate a group project successfully, and share the credits with his teammates. Equally impressive is Kenny’s aspiration for greater challenge. Kenny is a disciplined individual who sets high standards and works diligently to achieve these goals. Although I do not know Kenny very well outside the classroom or at the personal level, his experience and knowledge in many areas in addition to his technical expertise very pleasantly surprise me.

As an instructor, I feel much honored to write this letter for one of the best students I’ve known in my 18 years’ teaching at CSUS.

    Dear Sur or Madam:

During the summer of 2004, Kenny was one of fifty-four U.S. students chosen to participate as a Research Scholar in the Research Science Institute (RSI) sponsored by the Center for Excellence in Education and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was chosen to participate in RSI by the Center for Excellence in Education on the basis of his outstanding history of achievement in national science competition, his extensive research experience, and his evidence creativity in his written response to the RSI application questions.

Allen attended RSI along with his U.S. classmates and twenty-eight outstanding students chosen from a total of thirteen other countries. These students represent the top one percent of academic achievers in their respective countries or are medalists in international scientific competitions. The goal of RSI is to nurture the careers of these young scholars to careers of excellence and leadership in science and technology. The program broadens their academic experience by providing them unparalleled research, educational, social, and cultural opportunities as they progress through their course of studies.

I am pleased to recommend Kenny very enthusiastically for admission to Harvard College. He is an extremely well grounded, focused, and mature individual. He exhibited a high level of maturity and gathered a group of good friends at the program. Even in the rarified pool of RSI students, Kenny stood out early on as a strong performer in academic settings, but he was neither boastful nor self-conscious about this fact. Instead, he was simply professional and forthright in his presentations and classes. In every situation, he did what he was asked to do, and he did it remarkably well.

Kenny is a true wonder, filled with academic and other talents and completely lacking in presentation. You will not be disappointed.

    Sincerely

This letter is in reference to Kenny who successfully completed EDU5464 Differentiated Institution & Assessment in Mathematics & Other Disciplines. Mr. Kenny demonstrated consistent effort throughout the course both within the on campus classroom based classes as well as within the online learning environment (hybrid course). Mr. Kenny’s work was exemplary and is used model for future classes. In particular he has a strong sense of how to construct a lesson using the principles of Universal Design. This includes differentiation of instruction for a variety of learners. The universal design provided accommodations which could be accessed by all students to engage all learners in a more inclusive manner.

One of Mr. Kenny’s strengths is his ability to accept and use constructive feedback. Over the course, extensive feedback is provided on assignments. Mr. Kenny accepted the feedback and consistently improved upon his work. Mr. Kenny participated in class and online discussions. He brought in the theory form the materials and integrated it with his experience, personal thoughts and ideas shared by other students.

In summary, Mr. Kenny demonstrated a strong work ethic in class, enthusiasm on the topic of assessment and differentiation. He showed sensitivity to learners with very diverse needs and was able to integrate theory with the unique and practical differences he may find in the field. Re: Dr. Kenny

I have known Dr. Kenny since 2015, when he was a student at King’s College of London. From September 2015 to January 2017 he was my M.Sc. student in Computer Science at McMaster University and thereafter until July 2019 my PhD student, also in Computer Science at McMaster. He completed both of these graduate degrees several months ahead of schedule.

Dr. Kenny’s research was in a new and largely unexplored area of string algorithms, that has numerous applications in field such as data mining, bioinformatics, and clone detection in large software systems, pattern recognition, and so on. Over and over again he showed remarkable insight and willingness to innovate in dealing with the uncertainties and difficulties of a new research topic. So far Dr. Kenny and I have collaborated on seven research papers, with an eight currently about to be submitted. In at least half of the papers we have written, the main ideas have arisen out of Dr. Kenny’s initiative and intellectual curiosity. His published results have had a substantial impact, and he has become recognized as an authority in the research area.

Dr. Kenny was an exceptional graduate student, and I am sure he will be exceptional in any area or endeavor that he becomes interested in. He shows both excellent theoretical understanding as well as a talent for recognizing new application areas. Moreover, he has been active in many areas of academic activity: he has refereed many papers within and outside of his areas of specialization, he has three times participated in presenting a graduate course in string algorithms, and his work as teaching assistant has been praised by many lecturers whom he has served.

    Yours sincerely

    To Whom It May Concern

I am writing to recommend Kenny as an excellent teammate with an ability to envision and achieve excellence within a diverse team environment. I worked with Kenny in 2006 in my capacity as the Assistant Director of the Global Supply Chain Management Initiative, a research center at Purdue University. At that time the center was developing a plan for a new Supply Chain Management conference and we were working with numerous corporations to develop both a new case study and an optimal methodology for implementing our first undergraduate case competition. Kenny served as an HR Consultant for University of Relations and Employer Branding and consequently our main contact for Kimberly Clark, whom eventually we selected and very successfully executed this major new event.

Working with Kenny was an easy and rewarding experience. From our first phone conversation to the distribution of the prizes to the winners Kenny accomplished his goals for Kimberly Clark with an impressive balance of a professional and personable demeanor. Although initially our task was quite ambiguous, with Kimberly Clark and our center possessing our own ideas, he was able to both clearly communicate his ultimate desired outcomes and to integrate these goals effectively to achieve our stated objectives. He also efficiently managed the interface between his network of corporate resources at Kimberly Clark and our academic resources at Purdue University.

Throughout the various stages of the project Kenny demonstrated his ability to excel in two often incompatible arenas. First, in the development stage, he contributed numerous ideas for collaboration. Exhibiting an ability to envision and create, before we settled on a case competition. But Kenny was not just a theorist; he has also a diligent pragmatist who followed a goal-oriented approach to ensure an outstanding final product. Kenny’s creative and flexible approach to our common problem facilitated the seamless execution of the joint academic and corporate project.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Kenny as an exceptional addition to any team. His personality and work ethic as well as his blend of hard and soft skills will be his foundation for unbounded success in the diverse environments of his future endeavors. If further details on my work with Kenny would be helpful, please do not hesitate to contact me at abc@purdue.edu.

RE: Letter of Recommendation for Mr. Kenny

    Ladies and Gentlemen:

Exceptional intellect, tremendous drive, natural leader, unlimited potential.... four qualities that immediately come to mind when I think of Kenny. Kenny was one of 40 international students I taught last summer in the Summer Institute in Business & Technology (SIBT), a joint program of The Wharton School and the School of Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Not only was Kenny one of the strongest performers in the program, but he is also one of the most motivated and talented students I have met during my 6+ years of teaching. With this in mind, I am delighted to provide this letter of recommendation in support of his application for Warwick University’s MSc in Supply Chain and Logistics Management program.

To be candid, I only observed Kenny over a four-week period. But when combined, the two mini-courses I teach in the SIBT program are equal to a semester-long class. During this time, Kenny made an indelible impression on me. His grades were very high in both of my classes; he averaged 93 out of 100 in each one. Ordinarily, an average this high would result in an “A”. However, due to Wharton’s very strict grading policy, Kenny received an “A-” in my New Product Development course and a “B+” in my Entrepreneurial Marketing course. But grades alone don not tell the full story of his class performance or his overall contribution to the SIBT program.

I found Kenny’s work ethic, reasoning ability, and business acumen second to none. In addition, he was extremely well-liked and well-respected by his peers. To illustrate, the main project for the SIBT program is to identity a new, high-tech product opportunity and prepare a comprehensive business plan. The new product idea that Kenny came up with, a universal charger for portable electronic devices, was selected by his team by his team as the focus for their project.

Please let me know if I can provide you with any further information concerning this excellent student.

    Sincerely

    May 5, 2015

    To Whom It May Concern:

Please consider this letter as a recommendation for Kenny due to his high technical ability and outstanding problem solving skills. Kenny was a student in my Network Security class at NYU-Poly in spring 2014, and then as my Teaching Assistant. Network Security is a 2nd year Graduate class geared towards students studying towards a M.S. in Cybersecurity where students gain experience of the method and tools for performing information security assessments of systems and to learn how to defend against attacks. Additionally, students have hands on experience with security tools using a closed virtualized environment that contains network penetration tools and vulnerable system to target.

Kenny was the #1 student in the class by weighted score, and thus I asked him to be my teaching assistant for the following two subsequent semesters. Kenny is responsible holding weekly office hours to assist students with assignments and to discuss tricky topics with students, grading assignment in a timely manner, and identifying areas of improvement in the class.

As a student, Kenny was an active participant in all classes, routinely asked through provoking questions on the course material, and often stayed late behind class for further discussion. Each of his assignments was submitted on-time and was of really high quality. As a TA, he demonstrated that he is extremely responsible, has a great attention to detail and works hard to enable students achieve in this course.

I am certain that Kenny will be a great contributor to any organization that he joins. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further details. You can call my cell phone at 001-1234-54-678, or email at jhhjh@123.com at any time.

    Letter of Reference

    For

    Kenny

Kenny has received a Master Degree from the December of Biotechnology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

I was the supervisor of his Master thesis, which he completed after working for one year in my laboratory. His thesis topic was “Developing Molecular Tools for the Genetic Manipulation of Nannochloropsis”.

During his Master thesis Kenny has become a very capable scientist. He has demonstrated the ability to quickly acquire a variety of laboratory skills. After a brief introduction to the relevant techniques, she worked independently, including the design and execution and analysis of experiments, as well as planning and writing his thesis.

Kenny mastered general sterile bacterial and microalgal cultivation techniques. He was instrumental in establishing procedures and parameters for a new flowcytometer that the lab acquired. I was very impressed, that he not only established these techniques, but also showed interest and acquired knowledge of the underlying physical principles of the different spectroscopic-based cell-counting modes. He presented these insights to other members of the laboratory during a seminar. In addition Kenny performed growth experiments that he evaluated with a custom made software package.

A main part of Kenny’s Master thesis was the development of methods for the generic manipulation of the heterokont microalgae Nannochoropsis. For this he used molecular biology techniques, including the design of plasmids, PCR, restriction digest, and cloning. Kenny performed a large number of electroporation and particle bombardment experiments. It is of particular note that Kenny remained very enthusiastic about his work, although many technical issued arose. He overcame these obstacles using excellent trouble-shooting skills, patience and very hard work.

Kenny is a delight to have in the lab, as he is generous in helping other students. He is energetic, kind and possesses a very good sense of humor. His conversational and technical English is very good.

Please let me know if I can provide you with any further information concerning this excellent student.

    Sincerely

    To Whom It May Concern

As one of Mr. Kenny’s referees, and as one who has known him both professionally and personally over a period of some 12 years I would like to put the following on record:

As a professor of Mechanical Engineering in the University from 1966 until 1989 and since then as an Engineering Consultant with a wide range of connections in the automotive industry in general and the Diesel engine industry in particular, I am in a position to comment on his wide experience and competence in the field of truck engineering. During his time in the University of Bath he developed a complex simulation program modeling the behavior of a bus engine operating in connection with a Wilson epicycle transmission, an extremely complex task which he handled with considerable skill.

Furthermore, as a native German speaker I can also comment on his quite outstanding mastery of both written and spoken German, extending to complex technical German in the context of automotive engineering. It has been a source of amazement to me that British industry seems to be unable to make effective use of a man with this unique combination of qualifications.

Re: Letter of Recommendation for Kenny

    To Whom It May Concern

It is my pleasure to recommend Mr. Kenny from DePaul University as a candidate for medical school. Since summer 2014, Kenny has been working with me as a Research Assistant for a study examination the quality of hospital care at the University of Chicago Medical Center. During his time here I have been consistently impressed with his dedication, ability and hard work.

The research project, The Hospital Medicine Program, in which he has worked has three specific aims: (1) to assess whether hospitalists (doctors who dedicate at least 25% of their practice to inpatient care) affect the cost and quality of inpatient care, (2) to access the mechanisms by which hospitalists may affect the cost and quality of care, and (3) to access the effects of hospitalists on housestaff and medical student education and satisfaction.

His initial responsibilities included performing telephone interviews with patients after their discharge from the hospital and abstracting data from their medical records. After demonstrating that he had acquired these skills, he advanced to the more challenging role of interviewing patients in person. Interviewing patients during their hospitalization is central to our research because it is the time when we seek consent for patients to participate in the study and patients can be reluctant to participate in a voluntary interview and permit researchers to review their medical records unless they have full confidence in the research team. We therefore allow only our best staff to perform this role, and require consistent attendance to retain this responsibility. Kenny performed admirably in this particular task. His polite and persuasive demeanor allowed him to create genuine connections with patients and engender a willingness to participate in the research process.

He distinguished himself on my team as an exceptionally dedicated research assistant. Kenny proved himself to be one of the best research assistants so my team entrusted him with the task of training other research assistants to interview patients in person. His consistent and reliable performance was an excellent example for other research assistants, and he deserves much credit for the current success of his trainees.

It was a pleasure to work with him, as it is evident that he shared our concern with the success and integrity of the project.

    Sincerely

    To Whom It May Concern

It is my pleasure to submit a letter of recommendation for Kenny and I have worked together since 1984 when I was at the University of Lowa Hospitals and Clinics. For many years we purchased satellite and transmission services from Kenny and his group, including live televisions, news events and cross-campus video events. More recently, I was the Program Manager at ITS Video Services and was Kenny’s supervisor from April 2004 to July 2009.

ITS Video Services provides the University of Lowa campus a multitude of video transmission services. This includes the campus fiber optic backbone system, the campus cable television system, and the connections to the state-wide low Communication Network system, University of Lowa Television and broadcast high-definition satellite uplink services.

Kenny has consistently been a driving force in the quality delivery of satellite and cable programs. This includes clients like ESPN, The Big Ten Network, ABC and others. He has taken the responsibility to tackle the toughest projects and puts reliability, quality and customer service above all else. His unselfish contribution to the broadcast team has earned him the respect of remote trucks and cable engineers across the country. Many of these services are quite high-pressure with millions of viewers, yet Kenny can keep his cool and solve any problems quickly.

Kenny managed a variety of engineering, production and transmission tasks and situations. We are demanding of our engineers on many levels. They must be timely, keep the system on-the-air, trouble shoot in the field and manage customer relations face-to-face. In all my years with Kenny, I could rest assured that when he said something was going to be done…I did not worry, it was always done.

In the summer of 2008, we were impacted by devastating floods in Lowa City, 23 campus building were severely damaged. Kenny responded quickly on a Sunday morning to evacuate our facility. Then, we spent the next eight weeks putting it all back together. Kenny’s efforts were exemplary.

I would recommend that as you have opportunities for a position to seriously consider Kenny. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any additional assistance.

RE: Letter of reference for Kenny

    To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of Kenny. Kenny is a graduate of the Master of Public Administration program at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. During is enrollment in that program, he was a student in my Program Evaluation course. Kenny has contacted me about his move to Kenya, his career interests with NGOs, and with a request to provide a letter of support in her search for employment. I support his interests with enthusiasm.

As a student in my program evaluation course (PPOL 505), Kenny and his classmates engaged in an intensive study in the discipline of program evaluation through text, academic articles and case study. In addition, the students undertook examination of a local program that awarded college scholarships to students who graduated from high schools located within a specific zip code.

Kenny and his group partner were assigned the task of developing the impact model for the scholarship program. The impact model that the group developed was fundamental for the other groups and laid the foundation for the resulting evaluation report. Kenny’s original work detailed the resources required to implement the program, the anticipated engagement of the community and the resulting impact on all stakeholders. The model detailed work-flow and opportunities for program staff to measure progress toward the program’s objectives. The impact model allowed for extensive monitoring of the program, while outlining a path for either a formative or summative evaluation.

Kenny performed very well in the entire course and exceptionally well with the group assignment that resulted in the development of the impact model. Kenny is qualified, at the graduate level, to undertake participation in evaluations of any size program. In fact, in December 2015 he was strongly considered for the Honors Scholar award at the University due to his strong performance in the entire Public Administration curriculum. I can be contacted at 123-456-789 or xxx@131.com if any questions regarding Kenny’s qualifications.

    Sincerely
